The ranges of mountains Sierras de Urbasa and Andia extend from west to east with altitudes ranging from 700 to almost 1500 metres. Its limits are marked by several rocky areas and, at the top, we mainly find vast beech forests and mountain pastures with many limestone outcrops. The northen slope has Atlantic features, whereas the southern side shows a Mediterranean character.
This area is part of the Site of Community Importance and Natural Parl of "Urbasa-Andía". It borders the Nature Reserve of "Naceredo del río Urederra" (Source of the river Urederra).
Its habitats are decidious forests, especially mountain pastures and rocky outcrops.
